William Shoemaker went to be with God Dec. 9Th, 2025. William was a Retired Dept. of Agriculture Forest Service Ranger serving on many National Forests mostly in the West but here in the Verde Valley on the Coconino National Forest since 2001, retiring in 2024. He is survived by his loving wife Rochelle of 27 years.
Bill loved Mother Earth and taking care of her, she will miss him. He also loved helping people, serving on and orchestrated many projects.
Bill graduated from U. W. Superior in 1982 and from Idaho State University with a Master's Degree in Geology in 1987.
Son of Charles Lesser Shoemaker and the late Marjorie (Peggy) Ann Clark Shoemaker. Preceded in death by his mother Peggy and sister Mary Elizabeth Shoemaker. He is also survived by his brother Jonathan Walter (Debbie) Shoemaker, Griffin GA, sister Jane Louise Shoemaker, McDonough GA, nephew Charles Bruce (Carla) Shoemaker, McDonough GA, nieces Kimberly Ann (Christian) White, Atlanta GA, Ashley Nicole (Zach) McNeill, Griffin GA, grandnephew and grandnieces Julia Rose, Jonathan, and Abigail Shoemaker, Charlieanne, Maddie, Brady and Barrett White and Addie Mae, Isaac, and Caroline McNeill.
