William Otto Boler, III aka Bill Boler, age 67 of Camp Verde, Arizona and Village of Oak Creek, Arizona passed away on June 3, 2025. Bill aka “Bud and Uncle Bud” grew up in Camp Verde, Arizona. He attended all school years in Camp Verde and graduated from Camp Verde High School in 1976. He participated in Football, Wrestling and Track. He attended Northern Arizona University and graduated in 1994. Bill was born an old soul. He never was a “normal” little kid, he was always well behaved, very smart and was grown up at an early age. He learned to mechanic with his “Wah”-grandpa Boler when he was a very young child. He spent many days at the B & D Sand and Gravel with Wah working on all kinds of trucks and equipment.
Bill was the first child born to William O Boler, Jr. and Patricia M Boler in 1958. After watching his grandfather, William O Boler, Sr. (Otto) die on Lake Powell in 1974, Bill never looked back in life. He dedicated his life to helping others. From May 1976 through May of 1998 Bill was a huge part of the Camp Verde Clinic Association (volunteer Ambulance); He drove the athletic buses for Camp Verde High School for many years starting in 1977. He began his career as an instructor for Yavapai College in August 1978 until retirement in 2018. He became a deputy for the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Department in 1980. Bill was involved with the Sedona Fire Dept. from being a volunteer to being an assistant Chief from March 1981 through retirement in November 2009. From 1985 to 1988 Bill was a Firefighter for Verde Rural Fire District. On 1-21-1986 Bill became a volunteer Firefighter and IEMT with Cornville -Page Springs Fire District. Bill was employed by Verde Valley Fire District as an EMS Coordinator from 12-7-2009 to 6-3-2025. He was also a volunteer Firefighter and IEMT for Camp Verde Fire Department. He volunteered and worked at the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office and Verde Valley Ambulance Company. Bill was an amazing person who prided himself in giving the best service to his community. He was most certainly a giver and wanted what was best for others. He led a very selfless life and touched many lives in positive or memorable way.
Bill was a great older brother, son and uncle, grandson and friend. He was a leader of our family. He is very missed already by his family and friends.
