Virginia Parry, known by her friends and family as Ginny or Ginger, 76, passed away in Cornville, AZ, on February 21, 2025, after an incredibly courageous and strong battle with the unknown.
Ginny is a graduate of McGill University in Canada, Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing. She earned her degree as a nurse practitioner long before the profession became widely recognized and popular. She worked as a family practitioner, a psychiatric NP, taught nursing in Massachusetts in response to the growing demand for nurses and NPs, and in health clinics on multiple different university campuses and school settings. She was known for her desire to innovate and build better and more efficient delivery of services and always provided the highest quality of care to everyone who came in contact with her.
Originally from Massachusetts, Ginny’s dream was to live in Arizona, and she was able to spend more than a decade enjoying her dream. Ginny loved to travel both locally and internationally, enjoyed hiking and nature, and most recently, being a grandmother to her two grandchildren, whom she loved greatly. She received abundant joy from her grandson, Milo, during her final 6 years.
We are what we leave behind, and Ginny left so much behind to everyone she came in contact with. She was selfless to the end and continues to live on through her impact on others.
Ginny is survived by her husband, Paul Furcinitti; her two daughters, who she was endlessly proud of, Kaitlan and Meaghan Gruber; her siblings, Elaine Hache and Paul Gavin; her grandchildren, Milo and Lena Zeledon Gruber; and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Gavin.
There are a million ways to fill a life, and Ginny filled it with what mattered most.
Her ashes will be scattered by her family in Sedona, AZ, so she can continue to be a special part of her favorite corner of the world.
