Vincent Leon Saverino

Vincent Saverino of Cottonwood, Arizona passed away September 20, 2023, at the age of 74, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

At only 18 years old, Vincent enlisted in the Army and served 4 years as a Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), Expert (rifle), Sharpshooter (81mm Mort), and the Good Conduct Medal. Upon his return home, he married Dorothy Ann Lee. He and Dorothy remained married for 51 years and together had five boys, Rob, Vince, Tony, Joseph, and Marco.

Vincent was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He had 9 grandchildren in total, Sage, Jared, Jessica, Joshua, Jake, Chelsea, Isabella, Toni, and Marco Jr.

There are no words to express the love he had for his family, and the love his family had for him. He was a legend and a true inspiration for anyone that knew him.

Honor Guard services and inurnment will be held October 9, 2023, at 10am, at Prescott National Cemetery, located at 500 AZ-89, Prescott, AZ 86301.
