Timothy R. St. John

Timothy R. St. John, 68, formerly of Greenville, PA passed away peacefully at his home in Sedona, AZ. on December 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with throat cancer.

Tim was born on March 26,1957 in Greenville to Ray and Margaret St. John and was the youngest of five children. He was a student at St. Michael’s Parochial School and a 1975 graduate of Kennedy Christian High School.  Tim was a standout football player at KC for four years. He had a love of sports, particularly football, and developed a passionate following of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Tim earned an Associate Degree at Edinboro State University and went on to work at National Nickel Alloy, Inc. in Transfer, PA with his father, Ray, for several years.

In 2005 he relocated to Sedona, AZ where he started his own business in massage therapy and wellness.  Tim lived, worked, and flourished in the city he loved for twenty years.

Timothy was a gifted, charismatic man who worked to bring out the best in others either with his clients or those he met. He made an unforgettable impact on all who knew him. Tim had a tremendous knowledge of his surroundings and gave of himself to explore the sacred places in the “Red Rocks” and offered special sightseeing expeditions in “Tim Time” to friends and relatives.

He loved to visit his 3 children and grandchildren in Pittsburgh as well as his family and friends in his hometown of Greenville whenever he could.

His fight with cancer was a heroic struggle he met with tenacity and humor with his family, his partner, Diane Payne, and his fur babies Sasha and Dancer by his side.

Tim will be sadly missed by all who knew him but his light will live on in our fond memories of him.  Tim is survived by his three children:  Brittany (St. John) Phatak (Rohit) of Gibsonia, PA; Tyler St. John (Carrie) of McDonald, PA, and Gavin St. John (Sara Ugolini) of Siena, Italy, his 3 grandchildren, Pierce Phatak, Raegan and Parker St. John, as well as his former wife, Lori St. John.  He is also survived by his siblings, Rebecca St. John (Steve Ring), Gaithersburg, MD.; Christopher St. John (Cindy), Transfer, PA; Annette St. John O’Brien (Hugh), Hermitage, PA; and many cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as his devoted partner, Diane Payne, Sedona, AZ.

Along with his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia (St. John) Matchulat (Jack) and brother-in-law Hugh O’Brien.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Jan 30th at 10:00 am at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 85 North High Street, Greenville, PA., followed by Mass at 11:00 am.

An additional memorial will be planned in Sedona, in late Summer.
