Stephen Earl Wilson, age 86, of Clarkdale, AZ, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024. He was born on September 19, 1937, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, to Joseph and Francis Wilson (Shannon).
Stephen is survived by his loving wife Diane Wilson, his devoted brother David Wilson, and several children and grandchildren who came to him through blood, marriage, and adoption. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Mike Wilson.
Stephen served his country honorably as a veteran of the US Army Signal Corps. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the world extensively, though Hawaii held a special place in his heart where he lived several times throughout his life.
A memorial service to celebrate Stephen's life will be held at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, located at 14 W Hulet Dr in Chandler, AZ, on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 2pm. At a later date, he will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, HI.
Stephen will be remembered fondly for his warmth, generosity, and intelligence. He touched many hearts and leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Tropic Lightning Museum at Schofield Barracks, in Stephen's honor.
