Stephen Gladstein passed away in his home in Cottonwood, AZ on 7/27/24, two weeks after his 80th birthday. He was born in Fairfield, CT, on July 11, 1944, to Paul and Sarah Gladstein. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his older brother Harvey. He is survived by his younger brothers, Gary and David. Stephen was married to Ziporah Marcus for eight years and is survived by two children, Ciele Gladstein (47) and Miyabi Gladstein (49), and three grandchildren: Wallace (23), Dayna (22), and Hannon (19).
Stephen has been living on and off in Sedona and Cottonwood, AZ, since 1998, with some time in Santa Fe and the Big Island of Hawaii, and before that, 10+ years in Ithaca, NY, raising a blended family with Tessa Flores. He was an avid lifelong learner and especially loved reading about psychology, health, wellness, and spirituality. He practiced yoga, chi gung, and meditation daily and enjoyed hiking and biking in his younger years. He even spent many hours training to skydive. Stephen worked as a Jeep tour guide in Sedona, specializing in stargazing and vortex tours. He gave back to his community by helping with the recycling program and helping deliver food each week to people living in his apartment building who had difficulty getting out on their own. Stephen was an active member of The Jewish Synagogue and part of the choir and men's club.
