Rollin Leroy Traver (known as “Ron” to friends) passed away at his home in Cottonwood, AZ, on November 18, 2025. He was 79.
Rollin was born October 1, 1946, in Rhinebeck, NY to Stanley and Jayne (Brown) Traver. He was the youngest of four siblings. After high school, Rollin attended Rensselaer Polytechnic University and received a degree in Economics. He then worked as a software engineer in various companies and ultimately as a network and program manager at Alcatel until his retirement in 2013.
Rollin married his first wife Lorraine in 1969, and they were married for 4 years. In 1990, he met and married his second wife, Georgia Walker Bennett, his soul mate to whom he stayed married until her death in 2021.
A talented musician, Rollin performed for several years with the Jerome Ukulele Orchestra, as well as occasional duets with his beloved Georgia. Rollin and Georgia both loved the local music scene and made friends everywhere they went.
Besides music, he also loved reading, keeping up with the latest tech gadgets, and trying new foods. Rollin was warm, quick-witted, open-minded, generous, and just plain fun to be around. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by two sisters - Doreen, in Staatsburg, NY, and Sherry, in Coos Bay, OR, as well as several nieces and nephews, and his circle of close friends in Cottonwood.
