Ricky Pinson Obituary

Ricky Allen Pinson, 72, of Camp Verde, AZ, passed away in his home Monday, June 10, 2024. He was
born in Phoenix, AZ on October 8, 1951. Rick served in the US Army, in the Vietnam War from March 24,
1971 until March 23, 1973. He received numerous awards for his service, including: National Defense
Service Medal, Sharpshooter Badge, and Vietnam Service Medal. Rick was a block mason for over 40
years in Phoenix and helped build some of the most spectacular fireplaces ever seen in Arizona. He
moved to Camp Verde in 2013. He loved hunting and fishing, especially dove and trout. He also spent
many years as an impressive Horseshoe Pitcher, earning various trophies. Rick is survived by his children
Eric (Pamela), Summer (Louie), Kasey (Aaron) and Andrew; his step-children whom he raised, Leslie and
Tony; his grandchildren, Catherine, Hunter, Natalie, Carter, Kiera, Noah, Kyleigh, Keenan, Evelyn, and
Henry; his first great-grandchild is due in January. He is also survived by his sister Sandra McAurthur and
brothers Ronald Pinson, William Pinson and Craig Pinson as well as his partner Tami Pinson. Rick is
preceded by his father William Lowell Pinson; mother Pauline Lillian Childs and his brother Gary Pinson.
Rick will receive full military honors and be interred at Prescott National Cemetery.

A celebration of life
for family and friends to speak, share stories and honor Rick Pinson will be held on Saturday, July 13,
2024; 11:30 a.m. at the Cottonwood Community Clubhouse; 805 North Main Street, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
