Rick Anderson, 71, went to his heavenly home peacefully February 14, 2024 at his residence in Camp Verde after battling a long illness. Rick was a native Arizonan, born in Mesa and raised in Chandler and Phoenix.
He is survived by his wife Debi of more than 48 years of marriage; 2 sons, Logan (Josie) and Ryan (Tara); 3 grandchildren, Jules, Mally and Coen; 2 brothers, Steve (Nancy) and David (Becky) and 2 sisters, Lynn (Jeffrey) and Diane (Ed).
Rick was employed with APS for 28 years and a member of IBEW Local 387. After taking an early retirement he pursued self-employment. Starting his business--Triangle Y Trucking and Livestock--brought him complete joy.
He loved to rope and held memberships in ACTRA, BPRA, USTRC, WSTRA, was a lifetime member of the Verde Valley Rangers Sheriff's posse, a Gold Card member of AZ Cowpunchers Reunion Association and a life member of NRA. He served on the Camp Verde School Board and was an Elder for the Camp Verde Community Church.
If you were a friend of Rick's, you knew of his loyalty and commitment to that friendship. He was a generous man to a fault. If you needed anything, all you had to do was ask and he would give you whatever he could Even if you didn't ask. He loved and adored his family and thought we were all just perfect...Oh Ricky!! He had a handwritten piece of paper taped to his desk that simply said "fair play--common sense--no cheating." This will forever stay on his desk to remind me of him and his life's motto.
Throughout his illness he never once complained or asked "why or why me". Such a gentle, loving, considerate and generous man that only wanted others to be happy. We will miss him always.
I would like to thank all of you that remained in contact with him during the last 5 1/2 yrs with your visits or calls. Those special pieces of your time meant so much to Rick. Also, thank you to all who have reached out to our family with visits, calls, texts, cards, flowers and plants, food and kind memories of our special man Rick.
Per Rick's wishes there will be no services held.
God Bless You! In loving memory - Rick's family
