Peggy Jean Gann, 75, of Camp Verde, Arizona passed away from natural causes on July 24, 2024. Peggy was born in Flagstaff, Arizona on February 24, 1949. Peggy was a horse lover from the moment she was able to ride, and she did everything from horse racing, as a jockey, to winning awards in barrel racing. She was a proud member of the National Wildlife Federation, and ran her own wildlife animal rescue. For the last 15+ years of her life, she was a caretaker, and lived on a beautiful Camp Verde horse property with her horses, where she passed away. We will always remember how much she loved to bake for her family, and spend holidays and fun times together. She was also a big traveler, she loved to take her horses all over to ride them in different areas. She rode with her horses in the advanced trail rides at Monument Valley with the Navajo tribe. She was a care giver for approximately 50 years of her life, and her clients loved and appreciated her work so much. She once lived in Alaska and adored it; she also loved living in Texas and Oklahoma. One of her favorite accomplishments of all time was riding side saddle in the Fort Verde Days calvary. She will always be loved, missed, and remembered as the mother and grandmother that she was. She was laid to rest in the Middle Verde cemetery of Camp Verde, Arizona.
