Patricia Gail Barnes, 70, passed away at her home in Cottonwood, Arizona on
Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
Born in beautiful San Diego, California on August 4, 1954, Patty was twins
with her brother Michael. She graduated from James Madison High School in
San Diego, California. Patty worked for many years in resale of antiques and
collectibles as well as selling on eBay. She generously sold items for others
on eBay and many of them have shared with her family how much she meant
to them. Patty’s kindness and willingness to help others was a hallmark of
who she was.
Patty was an artist in many different areas throughout her life. She made
jewelry and stained-glass art, did embroidery and dabbled in all types of
creative efforts. Her youngest siblings remember the beautiful paper dolls she
lovingly created for them.
Patty was predeceased by her parents, Richard Barnes and June Barnes,
whose love and support meant the world to her.
Patty is survived by her siblings, Irene Mills (Robert Mills), Michael Barnes
(Melinda Barnes), Roberta Barnes, Tina Jones (Dean Jones) and Marcine
Barnes. She is also survived by her sweet dog, Bitsy, who is being cared for by
Patty’s family.
Patty rescued, fostered, loved and cared for countless dogs throughout her
life. She is predeceased by her many dogs, and we are comforted by the
thought that they came running to greet her when she crossed the rainbow
bridge.
A celebration of life service may be held later. In lieu of flowers, please
consider donating in her honor to an animal rescue in your community. We
recommend searching for worthy rescues through Guidestar.org or
Charity.org.
