Oran Ray Spencer
12-08-1934 11-02-2025
I chose this picture of him because it depicts him perfectly in his hard hat on board the Hughs Glomer Explorer, he was proud of the time he spent on that ship, he was great heavy equipment operator, laid the runway for the Stealth Bomber at area 51 on the Nevada Test site, a great hunter and fisherman loved the outdoors.
Oran coached the VFW Boys Baseball team to State Circa 1965, he was very proud of that.
His four brothers went before him Dewey, Gene, Mel and Carl, two sisters remain Lorine and Earlene.
Oran was born in Qualls, Oklahoma. Went to California when he was 13, his family worked for a Mr. Woods in Walnut, California harvesting melons. Oran's dad passed at 45 years old of Hodgkins (Arley Albert Spencer), His mother Indiana (Denton) Spencer raised the 7 children and never remarried. She lived to a fine age of 87.
Oran left behind many loved ones. He loved them all and he left me his wife Doris Lea (Edgar) Spencer, I will miss him every minute of every day.
Good Bye My Love
