With hearts full of love and gratitude, we announce the peaceful passing of Monique Cantone,
who left this world at the age of 101 in her home in Arizona on October 29, 2025.

Born in Paris in 1924, Monique embodied the grace, strength, and wit that defined her generation. From that
city of light, she carried within her a quiet radiance—a flame that neither distance nor time could
dim.

After marrying her beloved husband, Albert, she moved from Paris to New York, where
they began a new life together. She did not merely build a home; she created a sanctuary where
the cacophony of laughter and voices erupted like rising tides crashing against the rocks of the
shore.

Her table, a feast not only of bread and wine, but of stories, kindness, and joy. With
steadfast devotion, she wove her family’s days together with love’s golden thread, and in her
presence, hearts found both rest and renewal in her wisdom.

She is survived by her daughter, Michele Cantone, her son Ronald Cantone, granddaughters,
Valentina (James) Bednarski, Francesca Cantone, grandsons, Angelo (Monica) Gastelum,
Julian (Lorraine) Gastelum, Anthony (Jaqueline) Depaul, Nico (Rachel) Cantone, and eleven
great grandchildren. Monique now joins her beloved husband, Albert; her grandson, Dominic;
and her dear friend, Raqui, where she waits to be reunited with her family once again.

And now, she rests in the ocean of slumber—its warm waters shimmering at the edge of dawn.
There, between the whispering waters and their quiet shores, she smiles; bathed in light and
memory, awaiting the moment when all whom she loved will find her once more, where time
dissolves and love endures, forever, in the endless sea of love.
To honor her extraordinary life, the family will gather privately for a celebration of life, sharing
memories, laughter, and stories that reflect the love and light Monique so freely gave.
