Michael Floyd Slaughter, 63, of Camp Verde, Arizona, passed away on August 4, 2025. He was born on December 13, 1961, in Tempe, Arizona, to Thomas and Maria Slaughter.
As a boy, Michael loved the freedom of riding his dirt bike through the orange groves of Mesa, Arizona. He spoke fluent German, had a deep love for music, and even played in a band. He was active in school theater and once rode bulls in the rodeo. He later attended Yavapai College to study computers.
In 1981, Michael met the love of his life, Pamela Dunegan. They married on February 14, 1982. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three sons: Michael Slaughter II, Aaron Slaughter, and Joseph Slaughter.
Michael worked as a chef at many establishments over the years. Known for his strong work ethic and kind heart, he was a dedicated husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend.
He is survived by his wife Pamela, sons Michael, Aaron, and Joseph, daughters-in-law Alicia and Alexis, and five cherished grandchildren: Emma, Alivia, Lundyn, Evaney, and Kase. He is also survived by his father Thomas, five sisters, and four brothers.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother Maria, two sisters, and three brothers.
We are forever grateful for the love, laughter, and wisdom he shared. His story lives on through all of us. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing his legacy continues in the lives he touched.
