Mark Penry Obituary

Mark Ensley Penry, 60, of Rimrock, Arizona, passed away in his sleep on Friday, July 11, 2025.  He was born to Larry and Nancy Penry in Memphis, Tennessee on June 19, 1965. He is survived by one brother and two sisters: Allen Penry, Darah Beeles, and Sarah Binder. He was a beloved uncle to 10 nieces and nephews. Mark grew up living in many states, but eventually graduated high school at Blue Ridge in Pinetop-Lakeside, AZ. He attended Northland Pioneer College, where he received an associate’s degree, and then continued his education at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ.  In 1988, he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems. Mark’s career gave him the opportunity to work and live in many places such as New York, Germany, and Switzerland. However, he lived many years in Colorado and loved the state that filled his life with mountain climbing, hiking, fishing, rafting, and skiing, as well as the Broncos and Rockies!  Mark was a world traveler, who worked diligently in order to save his time off for amazing trips to Europe, Thailand, Nepal, South America, Central America, Australia and New Zealand. He made some treacherous climbs, but reaching those summits stayed in his heart forever. Mark also loved music, theater, and going to movies. He was smart and kind, and he left us way too soon!  He will be dearly missed by his siblings, nieces, nephews, and all the family and friends who came to know and love him over the years.
