Marcia Ann “Littlebird” Brook (Millard) passed away August 25, 2025, aged 66, in Sedona, Arizona. She is received by her beloved parents Dorothy (Pilarski) and Harold Millard, and her faithful dog Nala, at the great bridge.
In her energetic youth in the Milwaukee area, Marcia was a dancer (hula, ballet, tap, you name it), a markswoman, a hunter, an outdoorswoman, and a soft-hearted animal lover. The curious child grew into a precocious young adult who was keen to learn and experience as much as she could.
She met her match while still in high school, and embarked on 21 years of marriage, adding loving wife and devoted mother to her list of accomplishments. Her vivaciousness undiluted in adulthood, she was known as Five Minute Marcia for her lead foot and uncanny ability to quickly get to many places she probably shouldn't have - she possessed a remarkable ability to get herself into and out of trouble with equal amounts of bravado, innocence, and unexpected skill.
While fighting a lifelong battle with chronic pain and other conditions, Marcia still found beauty and worth in all aspects of life, and strove to experience it and make moments of joy for others.
Forever attempting to replicate that in her steadfast passion for art, she created works from diverse media including copper, paint, sinew, and clothing. With this talent, she became a fixture at local pow wows and worked to become a small business owner of “Simple Treasures of Turtle Island” in Muskego.
Later in life, Marcia decided to follow another path and relocated to Arizona where she sought relief for her ailments in the arid climate and built a life featuring many friends she met at Native American events. Marcia was a brave and memorable individual who left an indelible mark on all those who met her.
Marcia is survived by her children, Sarah (Kendall) Frederick & Maryellen (Chris) Murawski; her grandchildren, Morghyn, Brolyn, and Emma; her former husband and father of her children, Chris Brook; her brothers, Gary & Greg Millard, and life-long friends.
Marcia will be interred between her parents at Wisconsin Memorial Park, and a celebration of life to follow. In lieu of flowers and according to her wishes, kindly send donations to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge.
