Louis David Zellner Jr., better known as “Zeke”, passed away May 11th, 2026 at the age of 73. A lifelong native of Camp Verde, born to the late Louis David Zellner Sr. and Nona Juanetta Teague on January 15th, 1953. Zeke attended 12 years of Camp Verde schools and cherished the many friends he made there. He attended Camp Verde Calvary Chapel where he valued his many friends there and was an active member of the congregation.
Zeke was a traditional working man with skills in many vocations. These included timber falling, where he started working at the age of 12 for his uncle in the woods. He owned a sawmill and drove log trucks for many years. Later he worked in the oil fields of North Dakota as a heavy haul truck driver, which he continued to do even after he returned home. Even in his retirement Zeke enjoyed cutting firewood as a primary pastime and passion, as well as prospecting for gold.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Cynthia Zellner, as well as two daughters, Sally Parker and her husband, Phillip Stearman, of Camp Verde, and Carrie Lacey and her husband, Seth Lacey, of Minnesota; grandchildren, including four grandsons, Chandon Parker and his wife, Riley Parker, Michael Parker, Randall Lacey, and Seth David Lacey; one granddaughter, Christina Stearman; plus bonus grandchildren, Skylar Parker and Shane Denton.
Graveside Services will be held at Clear Creek Cemetery on Saturday, May 23rd at 9am. Condolences may be left for the family at www.buelerfuneralhome.com.
