Loretta (Lori) Kay Preston left her ailing body in the comfort of her home in Cornville AZ on January 25th, having succumb to the many complications of diabetes, ultimately her heart was not able to push on. Born October 23, 1957, in Monrovia California. Loretta is predeceased by her Father, Francis Ernest Preston. Mother, Grace Ellen Ferguson & Sister Janet Preston. Survived by her only child Christina Marie (Tucker) Slack, Sisters Marklyn Hamilton & Theresa Preston & their children.
Loretta worked various jobs in the service industry in restaurants, driving and housekeeping. Her most favored memories were working as a driver for Dial a Ride in California before giving birth to her only child in 1984. A few short years later, she moved to Arizona in 1989 which has been home since. Loretta's most prideful achievement was becoming a mother to her only child whom she devoted her life to raising and providing the best life for. Her love for horses was passed on and she made sure to fulfill those dreams for her daughter who to this day has continued that passion thanks to Loretta making those dreams possible against all odds.
Loretta battled a lot of medical challenges throughout life, she never gave up and always did her best to overcome those challenges. She was always loved by those that she met on that journey. Loretta had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way, spreading her love and light amongst all. Her belief and faith in God carried her through, ultimately becoming a member of the LDS Mormon church, she was able to get her Endowment before passing despite the increase in medical complications she experienced in this last year.
Services will be held on February 11th 2023 11:00 AM at 106 Mormon Hill Road Sedona Arizona 86336
