On Thursday, January 5th, 2023, Linda Louise Schening Talton, loving wife, sister, and beloved mother, passed away at age 77 from Alzheimer's.
Linda was born on July 31st, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, to Edward and Lillian Schening. She attended Bloomfield Hills High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, graduating in 1964. Linda received a B.A.E. from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan, in 1970. On June 14th, 1969, she married her husband, Robert (R.E.) Talton. Together they raised a daughter, Katie.
Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert (R.E.) Talton, her daughter and best friend Katie, her brother Thomas Schening, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
A woman of kindness, compassion, and service, she touched many lives. Linda was passionate about education and the arts and proudly taught art at Columbia High School in Brooklyn, MI, from 1970-1981. She was a working artist in her own right and painted prolifically in her art studios in Arizona and Mexico. Her artwork is proudly displayed in Asia, Europe, Latin America, the U.S., and Canada.
In remembrance of Linda's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Humane Society of Sedona Arizona, 2115 Shelby Drive, Sedona, AZ 86336. A memorial service will be held later in Sedona, AZ, and Mazatlan, Mexico.
