It is with great sadness that the family of Keitha E. Reed announces her passing on March 19, 2026 in Chesapeake, VA. Keitha will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 38 years Andrew Faiella, her daughter Andrea Murphy and her husband Michael, her son Michael Reed and his wife Natascha, her step-son Stephen Faiella and step-daughter Corinne Faiella, her grandchildren Madison Murphy, Conor Murphy, Liam Murphy, Marquis Reed, Mason Reed, and her great-grandchildren, Camden Murphy, Everly Murphy, and Noah Murphy.
Keitha was born in Zanesville, Ohio on June 30, 1947 and grew up with her sisters Connie and Kristy in Caldwell, Ohio where she was a Member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Keitha received nursing training as an LPN at Marietta Memorial and Selby General Marietta, OH an RN at Columbus Institute, Columbus, Ohio and received a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration and Masters of Art Management, Human Relations/Organizational Behavior from the University of Phoenix. She held Director positions at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, Northwestern's Prentice Women's Hospital in Chicago, Ill, COO/CNO at Mesa General Hospital in Mesa, AZ where she was a member of the Hospital Governing Board as well as Director of Specialty Nursing Facilities for special needs children and the elderly in and around Phoenix, AZ. Keitha held Board Memberships as a Member of the Arizona Emergency Medical Service Board (A.E.M.S.), Arizona Hospital Association (AzHA) Task Force on Trauma Center, Arizona Hospital Association (AzHA) Task Force on Emergency Medical Service, Arizona Senior Olympics, Medical Coordinator, Steering Committee Member, Vice Chair, A.E.M.S. Standing Hospital Committee, Arizona Bioethics Network, Chicago Maternity Center Board, Chicago Perinatal Executive Counsel, Teen Program Executive Board, Chicago, Ill., AONE Board Member, elected treasurer 2000 Board member for Race for Cure, Job Corp Training Board/2008, March of Dimes Coordinating Board/2009. Keitha was the first RN in the State of Arizona to become ACLS certified.
She enjoyed road trips and camping with her family and an occasional bingo game. Keitha was a kind, caring, and compassionate person and sometimes gave to much of herself to others. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. A memorial service will be held in Phoenix at a future date.
