Kathleen Marguerite McCabe-German

Kathleen Marguerite McCabe-German, 68, of Rimrock, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, after a long 2-year battle with cancer. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 13, 1956, to the late James and Marguerite McCabe. She moved to the Verde Valley around 1979 and moved to Rimrock a few years later.

Kathy is survived by her husband, David German, her son Robert McCabe and granddaughter Ariana McCabe. She is also survived by her seven siblings, Lillian Abernathy, Chris McCabe (Frances), Steve McCabe (Terry), Joseph McCabe, Michael McCabe (Kristine), Cynthia McCabe, and Shawn McCabe as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Marguerite McCabe.

Kathy went to college at Northern Arizona University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science and later graduated with a master’s degree in education. She has devoted the last several decades of her life teaching and serving in the education field from administration to mentoring students of all ages. She also had a passion for gardening, horses and anything crafty!

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 31 at Beaver Creek Baptist Church, 3705 E. Beaver Creek Rd., Rimrock, AZ. Flowers can be sent to 2475 E. Dairy Rd., Rimrock, AZ 86335.
