Karen Elaine Armstrong, 75, of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away peacefully at 1:00 a.m. on August 19, 2025. Born July 13, 1950, in Stockton, California, to Vern and Lois Hawkins, Karen lived a life full of love, faith, and joy.
Karen was the heart of her family and a true “Christmas Elf,” finding joy in giving, decorating, and making every holiday special. A woman of deep Christian faith, she loved unconditionally and had a gift for making everyone feel loved. She carried a sense of adventure, always ready for a drive or finding beauty in the quilts and crafts she lovingly created. Her creativity and curiosity brought warmth and joy to everyone around her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Rexford Armstrong; children Shirley (Scott) Tate, Rexford Jr. Armstrong, Deborah Jenkins, Sarah (Anthony) Martinez, and Joshua Armstrong; grandchildren Megan and Sean Thomson, Christina and Samuel Milner, Bryan Tate, Araya Jenkins, and Preston Cheek; great-grandchildren Liam and Sofie Thomson; and sisters Kathy Willis and Kris (Bill) Hubbard, along with many nieces and nephews who adored her.
Karen’s love, laughter, and unwavering faith will live on in all who knew her. May we honor her memory by spreading kindness, embracing life’s adventures, and cherishing each moment with those we hold dear.
