Judy Jones Dalton
1957 — 2025
My Dear Friends — It brings me (John Dalton) great sadness to tell you of the passing of my beloved Judy on June 12, 2025. Judy Jones Dalton was born on Sept. 26, 1957, to Buck Jones and Belva Bingham in Tucson, Arizona. Their family moved to Cottonwood, Arizona in 1966.
She died from natural causes due to cancer at home and in my arms. I’m so grateful for that.
Most of you know her by her glowing silver hair and colorful dresses. She walked with a cane from a car accident. She struggled with a brain injury that left her with partial memory loss. So she paid her bills in person with flowers and a note of her transaction. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed.
She is survived in life by her husband, John Dalton; her sisters, Belva “Buckshot” Carpenter and Charline Kester; brother Adam Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
Her father Buck Jones; mother Belva Allen; half-sisters Karen McDermott and Jane Orlecky are receiving her in death with Love & Joy.
Her services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on June 27 (our 38th Anniversary) at the United Methodist Church, 901 S. 12th St., in Cottonwood. A reception will follow at the fairgrounds. Some food and water will be provided; feel free to bring a side dish. Ice cream and toppings for dessert at Judy’s request will be served.
A large collection of vases and flowers will be available to take home with you. So please, in lieu of flower offerings, please send to her most patient cause — the Garchen Institute, P.O. Box 4318, Chino Valley, AZ 86323 or contact them at 928-925-1237, www.Garchen.net.
