John "Johnny" Leo Rachfal

John "Johnny" Leo Rachfal, 65, of Cottonwood, Arizona, died at his home November 28, 2023.  He was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on September 30, 1958 to the late John Rachfal and Laura Palowoda. He is survived by his sister, Marie Palowoda.

Johnny was hard-working and spent his career in Michigan in building construction. He was quite talented and could do layouts in his head. Later in his career he developed and ran his own building siding business.  He retired to Cottonwood, Arizona in 2015.  Johnny also enjoyed writing poetry and loved animals, especially his rescue dog, Skippy.

Johnny had a great sense of humor and was a kind, sensitive and caring person who was a friend to all. He believed in the good and trust of everyone he met and was generous to all in need. His family and many friends love him and will miss him dearly.

A Memorial will be held in spring in Milford/Highland where Johnny grew up and spent most of his life. Donations in Johnny's memory to Verde Valley Humane Society would be appreciated.
