John E. Ryberg was born April 9, 1953 and took the stairway to heaven on April 18, 2023. He was a loving husband of 48 years to his wife Elaine, caring and supportive father to his two girls, Jessica and Ericka (Randy), and devoted Pappy to his two grandchildren, Shaun & Megan. He was a man of few words but the ones he spoke were hilarious and heartfelt.
He loved his family first and foremost, then hunting, fishing, and his years spent volunteering as a paramedic with Camp Verde Ambulance and founding Rim Country Rescue. He spent 20 years with the family business in the woods doing post-logging, pre-attack, slash-disposal engineering and ended his career with a BA in management while working at the local casino. In his retired years he enjoyed reading, hunting, teasing and having fun with his oldest daughter while he taught her to cook, and watching his youngest daughter grow into a strong wife, mother, hunter, and friend.
John is survived by his loving wife; brother, Eric (Jessie); sisters, Vicky (Jack) and Donna (Sean), children, grandchildren and many extended and adopted family. He is already missed by all who loved him.
