Janet "Sue" Susan (Hughes) Martin

Sue Martin, life long San Pedro Valley resident, entered life eternal on May 16, 2023 peacefully at her home in Cottonwood, Arizona with her Children at her side. Sue, a St. David graduate, was an active leader of the SPV community serving as President of the local BPW, and Vice President of BPW for the State of Arizona, among many other roles. Sue was active member of Chamber of Commerce and recognized for her contributions to the creation of Bensons Butterfield Stage Days. Sue was named Benson's Woman of the Year 1989.

She coached girls softball and was President of the Women's league for many years. Sue is survived by two of her three children, Matthew Martin and Nikki (Travis) Schlup both of Cottonwood; two bonus children, Kelly Martin and Jenae Rogers; her sister, Kristen (Willard) Beals of Las Vegas and brother, George Hughes of Houston. Sue has 14 grandchildren, Jacy, Bailey, Riley, Timothy, Zachary, Ashley, Jesse, Randi, Hunter, Hayley, Austin, Seth, Jeremy, and Alexia. She also has 12 great-grandchildren. Sue was predeceased by her youngest son, Ian Martin; her parents, Clark and Caroline Hughes; brother, Scott Hughes and sister, Carolynn Patton.  Sue has 100's of nieces and nephews, that she cherished deeply.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center in Cottonwood, Arizona, 1377 E. Hombre Dr., Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
