March 10, 2025, marks the one year anniversary of the passing of James "Jim" Bernet.
Jim was born on June 1, 1942, in Pittsburgh, PA to Fred Bernet and Marie Christy Bernet. He joined his sister, Marian, now deceased, and brother, Fritz, also deceased.
Jim moved with his family to Tujunga, CA in 1951. He worked for Sears during his high school years at Verdugo Hills High School. He graduated in 1960 and continued working for Sears until he was drafted.
Jim served his country as a Sergeant in The 4th Army Infantry Division in Vietnam and he was very proud of that.
After his discharge, he continued working for Sears until his retirement. Jim moved to Cottonwood, AZ in 2006 to be close to his brother, Fritz, and his family. He enjoyed all of the family functions and loved his great-great nephew and nieces.
He will always be remembered and missed.
