Georgia Savage Obituary

Georgia Erna Savage, daughter of George Harrison O’Donnal and Hattie Mae Farnsworth was born November 28, 1939, and returned home to her Father in Heaven and into the loving arms of her sweetheart, Clyde “Boze” Savage on August 14, 2024.

Erna was born in Snowflake, Arizona, into a family of three boys and two girls. Four more brothers and three sisters later joined her. Family was important to her and she loved spending time with them.

Erna lived in several places in Arizona but eventually settled in the Verde Valley where she met Boze. They fell in love and married in January 1957. They had three children, Michael, Debra, and Daniel. Eleven years later they knew someone was missing from their family and they adopted a 10-month-old baby girl, Lisa. Boze and Erna then became foster parents and welcomed many children into their home, providing each one with a safe, loving environment to live. Their family was completed with the adoption of one of their foster children, 13-year-old Sharon.

Erna had great faith in and a love for her Savior, Jesus Christ. She shared the love of her Savior through her service to others in her various assignments in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a love for beautiful things as well as the ability to create beautiful things and she used that creativity to bless the lives of those around her. She also had a love of nature and enjoyed growing fruits and vegetables. She would preserve what she grew and often shared it with others. She loved flowers and grew many kinds. Using small roses, she would make corsages for her friends on Mother’s Day.

Erna is preceded in death by her eternal companion, Clyde Leroy “Boze” Savage, parents George O’Donnal and Hattie Ruebush, brothers Richard O’Donnal, George “Kent” O’Donnal, Gene O’Donnal, Charles “Charlie” O’Donnal, and Ralph O’Donnal; sisters Madge Passmore, Elva Perry, Juanita “Nita” Sego-White and Callie O’Donnal; a great-granddaughter Ava Moon and a great-great-grandson Jameson.

Erna is survived by her brothers, John O’Donnal and James “Jimmy” O’Donnal; sister Billie Kay Ruddock; children Michael (Georgia) Savage, Debra “Debbie” (Bruce) Ray, Daniel “Danny” (Jeana) Savage, Lisa (Jerome) Patridge and Sharon Savage as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
