Felix Talavera Anzar, known affectionately as Indio, Koala Bear, Pops, Papi Chulo, and Dad, went to meet with our heavenly Father on May 24, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 85. He was born on February 25, 1939, in Cashion, Arizona.
Felix was a dedicated journeyman pipe fitter and found great joy in his final career as a truck driver. He has a passion for animals (especially chickens), mariachi music, dancing, and spending quality time with his family.
Felix will be remembered for the sparkle in his eye, his handsome smile, and his loving nature. He was a hardworking, generous, and considerate individual who touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.
He is survived by his wife Sally Z. Anzar, daughters Laura Valdez with husband Frank Valdez, Sally M. Anzar with husband Fermin De Santiago-Najera, sons Felix Anzar Jr. with wife Leslie Anzar and Alexander D. Anzar with wife Cherie Anzar, as well as adopted children Carissa, Antonio, and Diamante Anzar. Felix was also a beloved grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather to numerous grandchildren.
Felix is preceded in death by his father Juan J. Anzar, his mother Laura T. Anzar, his daughter Kathy A. Montoya and grandchildren Nicole and Alejandro (Alex) Valdez.
A memorial service to honor Felix’s life will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 1278 N. Buckskin Ln, Camp Verde, AZ at 12PM.
