Fabian Lee Tijerina
June 1, 1992 - August 15, 2025
Fabian Tijerina passed away just a few months after his 33rd birthday. His journey here ended far too soon, but he leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and unforgettable memories. Fabian's soul is now surrounded by love, reunited with those who went before him, and held close by those who remain.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Fabian was a son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, co-worker, and friend. He had a way of lighting up a room with his humor and warmth.
Outgoing and full of life, Fabian could strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel seen. He was quiet in his generosity, brilliant in thought, and deeply empathetic in heart.
He graduated from Tonopah Valley High School and began college, but his true passion was writing. Fabian filled notebooks with stories, reflections, and ideas, most of them just for himself. He published one piece on Kindle and was working on more. His words were honest, sharp, and full of feeling.
Fabian was endlessly curious. He loved movie nights that stretched all night, playing chess and checkers for the challenge, and diving deep into anything that caught his interest.
Whether it was a new skill, a random fact, or a creative idea, if it intrigued him, he'd learn it, master it, and make it his own.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Claunts; his father, Raul Tijerina; his grandmother, Guadalupe Tijerina; his sisters, Sylvia and Jenny; his brothers, Junior and Matthew; his nieces Alannah, Launa, and Kristy; his nephews Seth, Matthew, Devon, and Zayden; and a wide circle of cousins, uncles, aunts, brothers-in-law, his step-moms, his step-brothers, and friends who will carry his memory forward.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Fabian Tijerina, Lee Claunts, and Regina Claunts, who we believe welcomed him with open arms.
From a young age, Fabian loved reading and making people laugh. In high school, he was known for his quick wit and his loyalty to friends. Later, he worked as a mail carrier, a job he took seriously and did with pride. He adored his pets, George and Lucy, who were always by his side.
Fabian lived with mental health challenges, and he fought hard, every single day. His strength was quiet but fierce. His story reminds us how important it is to check in, speak openly, and hold space for one another.
We'll never forget him. His laugh, his stories, his heart. And for those who knew him best, it's not goodbye, it's just "We'll see you later, Uncle Bacon."
