Maj Edward Allen Saunders (retired), age 77, of Parker, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024. He was born in Washington, DC on May 21, 1946 to the late William Renton and Inga Lee Saunders. Ed was a resident of Woodbridge, Virginia until 2013. He was an attorney in the area for more than 25 years after retiring from the Marine Corps in 1985. He moved to Parker, Arizona in 2017 and enjoyed his retirement traveling and helping others. Ed was a tinkerer and handyman, and he was well-known for his wonderful sense of humor.
Ed is survived by his loving partner, Laurie; his children, Carolee and Amy; his sons-in-law, Brian and James; and his six grandchildren, Liam, Evan, Sara, Cara, Lori and Micah. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolynda (Charlee); and his brothers, William and Alfred Saunders.
