Edward John Navarre was born September 10, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan. He passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2026, at the age of 62 in Camp Verde, Arizona. He grew up in Michigan and joined the Air Force following his high school graduation in 1982. He served until 1988, leaving the service with the rank of Sergeant. During his lifetime, he worked at a desalination plant in California, a steel mill in Detroit, and the United States Postal Service in Arizona until he retired.
Ed was fond of gaming, eventually meeting his future wife, Janet, in a role playing game. He was also an avid sports fan and outdoorsman, and enjoyed watching survival, mystery and western shows on television. Ed engaged in many crafting activities, including painting, modeling, Legos, counted cross stitch, and design. He was a master of Sudoku. Ed married Janet on January 24, 1998, in Scottsdale, Arizona, and they lived in the greater Phoenix area until after they retired and moved to Camp Verde, Arizona in 2021.
Ed is survived by his dear wife of 28 years, Janet, nee Brannan; his mother, Ida Mae Bauley Navarre in North Carolina; two daughters, Khori Wood (William) and Kristie Boone (Dillon) in North Carolina; four grandchildren, Theodore Wood, Henry, Wilson, and Franklin Boone; four siblings, Michelle Ledbetter, Tom Navarre, Barry Navarre, and Patty Navarre, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great nephews. He is also survived by his two beloved Shi Tzus, Simba and Asher.
Ed will be remembered for his quirky sense of humor, his love and care of his family and friends, his eclectic creativity, and his love of animals.
