Papa (lovingly named by his grandson Jerad) Don Johnson, a long time Verde Valley resident passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sherry Johnson, his daughters, Michelle and Denise, his step-children, Suzi and Ryan (Marie), along with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As a life-long Christian, Papa surely arrived in Heaven dancing and elbow bumping those who have gone before him.  

Papa was an honorable veteran who served in the United States Air Force.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and golfing; but his greatest love was spending time at Vallecito Lake in Colorado, where he and his wife shared many peaceful and joyful summers with dear friends.

No services are planned, but the family invites you to hold near to your heart one of the last songs that gave Papa and his family comfort and peace:
