Dewayne Derald Spires

Dewayne found his peace on August 27th 2023. Dewayne was born in Phoenix, Arizona to William and

Diane Spires on October 24, 1962.

Dewayne also known as Wayno, loved kids and dogs. Dewayne enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, big

parties and BBQ’s. He was always chatty with everyone and was known for his own vocabulary. He was

always the life of the party.

In 1985 Dewayne inherited his two kids Thomas and Cody Utz and moved to Humboldt AZ in 1990. He

worked as a painter and later drove truck for Donaldson Trucking. In 2006 in Dewayne’s words, he

inherited his two stepsons Heath and Tanner Hofferber. In 2008 he also inherited his nephew, Alexander

Spires, that he loved like a son.

Dewayne was proceeded in death by his daughter, Cody Utz and his father William Spires. Dewayne is

survived by his mother, Diane Bellew of Marana, AZ, Sisters Teresa (Dan) Svir of Mesa, AZ, Kim Bellew of

Marana, AZ, Brother Brian Spires of Tucson, AZ, Son Thomas Utz of Humboldt, AZ, Nephew (but son at

heart) Alexander (Wendi) Spires of Camp Verde, AZ, Stepsons Heath (Cassie) of Cherry, AZ, Tanner

Hofferber of Cottonwood, AZ, Grandsons Easton Lozano, Riley, Weston, Kyson Hofferber. Great niece and

nephew that he loved like his grandkids, Samuel and Darci Spires, plus many more nieces, nephews,

great nieces and nephews that Dewayne loved.

There will be a celebration of life October 14, 2023 ‐ 1:00pm at 11230 W. Cherry Creek Road, Dewey, AZ
