Dennis Joseph Gauthier

Dennis Joseph Gauthier, 75, of Cottonwood, AZ passed away peacefully at home on Friday March 24, 2023, surrounded by family.  He was born on June 12, 1947, in Grand Forks, ND.   He grew up in northern Minnesota.  At 16 he joined the Job Corps where he travelled to AZ where he first fell in love with the Southwest.  He stayed until he was enlisted in the Army and did a tour in Viet Nam starting in 1968.  He returned to Minnesota for most of his adult years raising a family. Eventually returning to AZ, the state he loved.

Dennis loved his horses and riding his Gold Wing in his younger years.  In his later years he loved planting and caring for numerous trees and plants in his yard.  He also enjoyed working with diamond willow and creating beautiful walking sticks and lamps.  After retiring he loved traveling with his camper, especially back to Minnesota to visit family and friends.   Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He had a generous, giving heart and enjoyed helping everyone.

Dennis is survived by his wife Kathy, children, Laura Nelson, Dennis H. Gauthier, Crystal Williams and Brenda Gauthier; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister Jeannie Lind and brothers David and Wayne Gauthier.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry (Hank) Gauthier and Roenelda Skraba; and daughters, Sharon and Brandi Gauthier.

Celebrations 0f Life will be planned at a later date, in both Arizona and Minnesota.
