Carolyn Kay Scanlan

Carol Scanlan, lovingly known as Granny to many, passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of August 24th. Born in Ida Grove, Iowa 7/25/1944 she was preceded in death by her husband Tom.

Tom and Carol moved to Cottonwood in 1971 raising their three children Chris, Cindy and Geri. Carol worked for AZ Title Company before starting her own real estate business, Cactus State Realty. She opened Granny’s House daycare in 1989 and cared for numerous Verde Valley children over the years.

Carol is survived by her 3 children, Chris Scanlan (Chrissy), Cindy Jones (Jerry) and Geri Rocha; her 8 grandchildren, Beth Scanlan, Lyn Delmer, Christopher Scanlan, Tyler, Buddy and Tanner Wakefield and Michael and Matthew Rocha as well as 14 Great-grandchildren.
