Carlyle Paulsen Obituary

Carlyle Rodney Paulsen
July 14, 1946- Nov 5, 2025
Lyle Paulsen will always be remembered fondly by family and friends.

He lived a most legendary life.

We’ll muster smiles and may even chuckle upon reflection of all the good times and crazy antics
perpetrated by this untamed wild stallion.

Lyle’s time spent in the Navy was executed with great honor; he was unrelenting in his
commitment to serve his country. Lyle continued to serve his fellow veterans young and old at
the V.F.W Post 6739.

He was a Cowboy through and through, always courageous, loyal and yes, most times a
Scoundrel.

Only now will his lust for Pendleton whiskey, toasting good friends and good times be
quenched.

Lyle spent time all over the country servicing and operating heavy equipment. He was truly a
leader of men. During the toughest of times, during the war or on the job, he always stood up,
stood tall and he was counted.

Lyle leaves behind his wife Linda and is preceded in death by his father George Paulsen,
mother Dorothy Moore and brother Tom Paulsen.

Lyle was like a father and mentor to his little brother David Paulsen. He will be greatly missed by
his sisters Burdette McDonald and Claudia Pratt.

Although Lyle never had children of his own he leaves behind a stepson, Bennie and a beautiful
great granddaughter through marriage. Aarian, the light of his life. Our hearts go out to Aarian
and her family.

Lyle leaves behind his sister in law Elisabeth Paulsen, nieces and nephews, Wendy, Doug,
Michael, Amanda, Shane, Samantha, Venus, Crystal, Colton, Christy, Nathan, David, Whitney,
Carlie and Beau.

Lyle also leaves behind a plethora of great nieces, nephews, amazing friends and colleagues.

It is a rare thing to meet someone whom touches so many.
It has been our great honor to have known and loved him.
There will be no “Rest in peace” for Lyle.
He will be in the heavens, roping, riding and Cattle driving.

We welcome everyone to Lyle’s memorial service and celebration of life at the
