ANDREW ROBERT BONNETT
July 30, 1975 – February 5, 2026
Andrew Robert Bonnett passed away on February 5 in Cottonwood, Arizona, surrounded by his loving family and his devoted girlfriend, Jessica after a long courageous hard fought battle with cancer.
Andy was one of the most present, caring, and curious individuals one could ever hope to meet. He was never in a rush, always making the time to truly listen, enjoy the view, and fully take in life’s beauty. A resident of Sedona, Arizona, Andy was a passionate motorcycle rider and collector who was always looking for a new road to explore. He will be deeply missed by all the people who were lucky enough to ride, meditate, share an organic meal, or be on the receiving end of his witty humor.
A graduate of Hopkins High School and Denver University, Andy also showed incredible resilience. After being diagnosed in October of 2008 Andy beat stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer for 17 years under the pioneering care of Dr. Ross Camidge at the University of Colorado Health.
He is survived by his devoted girlfriend, Jessica Sutherland of Phoenix, AZ, his father, Robert Bonnett (Geri); his mother, Kaye Thoeny (Craig); his brother, Theodore James "TJ" Bonnett and TJ's children, Teddy (10) and Paige (8); his aunt and uncle, Dee and Tryg Pederson; and his cousins, Kari (Matt) Minas of Hailey, ID, and Erica Carlson (Evan).
Honoring Andy's wishes, his ashes have been spread on Bear Mountain along with his best friend ashes, Summit his dog, where he will forever have the best sunrise and sunset views. He is deeply missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him.
A gathering to celebrate Andy’s life will be held on May 30th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Minnehaha Falls Park Pavillion C in Minneapolis Minnesota. Fellow motorcyclists are warmly welcomed and encouraged to ride in his honor.
